Life and Death

“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers” (Proverbs 6:16-19).

I cannot keep silent. My heart grieves that legislators in New York think that killing babies has anything to do with health. It is evil, wicked, and from Satan!  My heart is encouraged that many are standing up and speaking against such evil. I’m encouraged that President Trump is not afraid to speak for the rights of these innocent lives.

The Church must not be silent. The One who created life hates the shedding of innocent blood. We must find ways to help those who see no other option but to destroy the life within them. We must make options for life possible, give desperate mothers-to-be hope for their future. I’m not sure what that looks like. Maybe churches can become involved in pregnancy centers, adoptions, providing financial help or a home, whatever is needed to show the love of Jesus.

All of us can contact our Congressmen, governors, and anyone else who has to do with making the laws. Let them know we do not want another baby lost to abortion or infanticide and we especially do not want laws that allow it.

This is not a political issue. This is a moral and Biblical issue. God sees what’s happening and He is not surprised by evil. This is a spiritual battle for the souls of the human race. Let us stand with truth, God’s truth, and pray earnestly for a renewal of minds. Pray for forgiveness, insight, and wisdom in what our actions should be. Pray. Pray. Pray

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14).

  1. Amen! God is the only one who gets to choose if we live or die. He loves all the little children even before they are born.
