“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-7).
Because of the resurrection of Jesus and my belief and acceptance of His offer of salvation:
- I am forgiven
- I have new life in Christ
- I am a child of God
- I have power over sin
- I have peace in this life
- I have hope of life beyond this life
- I will have a resurrected body
- I have God’s power working in me
- I am a fellow citizen with God’s people
- I have the Holy Spirit dwelling in me
- I have assurance that one day I’ll see my loved ones who’ve gone before me
- I know my suffering and disappointments are only temporary
- I know God loves me
“The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay’”(Matthew 28:5-6).
