As I walked toward my driveway one chilly, frosty morning I noticed something red in the rose garden.  The roses had stopped blooming, or so I thought.  As I came nearer I saw a beautiful red rosebud. What a surprise! 

Only one or two of the bushes had shown many blooms all summer. Wayne was the one who cared for the roses. We had a rose garden at nearly every place we had lived. After his death I tried my best to care for them, but I was not so successful. Some bushes seem to thrive, others barely hanging on.  

So you can see why I was so surprised by this rose bud beauty.  I had not seen good results from this bush all summer. 

God has a way of sending me reminders that He is still with me and His creation is alive and well.  He promised “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease” (Genesis 8:22). 

God is faithful and will always be faithful!

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
